1st Video is suggested walk on Friday, start Faha near Cloghane. Walk up onto Brandon Mountain, along Ridge taking in Brandon Peak, Gearhane onto Ballysitteragh and down into Dingle for some well deserved pints!
2nd Walk is suggested for Saturday, around the western tip of Dingle, the Kerry Way goes along here but the route i've marked out goes along the higher ground, up over mas an taimpain (if you look at other posts on this site there are some pics). If we get decent weather the views are stunning.
Need to Bring
- Good Boots
- Prepare for rain and wind (waterproof jacket and trousers, warm hat)
- If weather good suncream and sunglasses
- Walking Poles recommended
As an alternative to walking straight up onto Brandon there is the Faha Ridge, not for the fainthearted! Seriously though I don't think I'd tackle this as we should really have ropes (and someone who knows how to use them). I only did it once with an experienced climber and it scare the hell out of me ! There was snow though !
