Stradbally Beenoskee

Close to Castlegregory village are the two mountains Stradbally and Beenoskee.
Great walk yesterday. If you look at map belo walk starts at the Car park at bottom of woods (just opposite main road exit from castlegregory to stradbally village). 1st part of walk is up the forestry road to a base station, road ends here so you have to make your own way up the mountain as there is no clear path.

Copy of Map
OS Map - Brandon Mountain (1:25,000)
OS Map 70 (1:50,000)
OS Map 71 (1:50,000) - This isn't really required but does contain some of the forest track at start, if you plan to

Here is a profile of the walk
My GPS didn't start tracking till base station so1st 3.5 km should be same as last, although I cycled up and down this bit, which

Here is the route taken (GPS tracking didn't start till the base station)

Video taken above Glenteenassig from ridge on way to Stradbally
As you can see this is a real nice walk once you get up on high ground

Pictures taken on the way

Notes
On way down I talk a steeper route, as you can see in the route video above.
Also climbed this mountain from Glenteenassig back in March
There is another suggested route here, must ry in future
